Mr. Jerry Whitworth, Jr., 71, of 1819 Kingston Road, Kingstown, NC passed away on Sunday, Febuary 9, 2020 at Atrium Health- Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on August 1, 1948 to the late J.B. Whitworth and Minnie Ovedia

Jerry was an avid worker for Patrick Yarn Mills in Kings Mountain, NC for more than 28 years. He also worked for Parkdale Mills in Kings Mountain and Doran Textiles. He loved working and taking care of his family. His other hobbies included gardening, cooking and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lakeliah Whitworth.

He is survived by his wife, Allison Toms Whitworth; three sons, Jerry Whitworth of Boiling Springs, NC, Anthony Whitworth of Shelby and Kevin Whitworth (Jennifer) of Hickory, NC; three daughters, Katherine Roberts (Chris) of Grover, NC, Ka'Lundra Shavette Camp (Marrio) of Shelby and Latoya Whitworth of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Robert Whitworth (Maria) of Newton, NC, Forrest Whitworth (Louise) of Shelby and Larry Whitworth (Terry) of Cherryville, NC; sisters, Rachel Whitworth of Shelby and Nita Surratt (Joe) of Kings Mountain; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Bernice Toms of Shelby; four sisters-in-law, Phyllis Boykins, Annette Toms, Gwendolyn Woodson all of Shelby and Sheila Agyepong of Charlotte, NC as well as his aunts, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14 , 2020 at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC . Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
