Mr. Jimmie Franklin Brackett, 77, of 171 Charlie Randall Rd., Lawndale, NC passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. Services were held at Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston, NC.
Mr. Brackett served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Brackett was preceded in death by his parents, Alston Roosevelt Brackett and Louella Morrison Brackett; 1 brother, Dickie Brackett; and 1 sister, Mary Turner.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice Harrelson Brackett; 2 sons, Jamie Brackett and wife Wanda and Edwin Brackett and wife Diana, all of Polkville; 4 daughters, Robin Randall and husband Harold, Lisa Porter and husband James, and Tammie Buckner and husband Mike, all of Lawndale, NC, and Myra Hoyle and husband Frank of Shelby; 2 brothers, Billy Brackett of Mt. Holly, and Gene Brackett of Shelby; 1 sister, Norma White of Gastonia; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
