Jimmy Edward Chapman

Jimmy Edward Chapman, 70, of Big Hill Road, Lawndale, passed away Wednesday,
June 7, 2017 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County, on June 29, 1946, he was a son of the late John
Zebbie Chapman and Viola Chapman. He was retired from Timken as a
Electrical Technician, and also served in the US Airforce for twelve years
during the Vietnam Era.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ray,
Harold, and Ralph Chapman.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Guynell Smith Chapman;
daughter, Carol Vandyke and husband, Chris, of Belwood; three grandchildren,
Ashley Banks and husband, Cam, Nick Mays, and Anna Donaldson; two great
grandchildren, Mason and Micah Banks; two brothers, Johnny Chapman and Reid
Chapman and three sisters, Maggie Burns of Casar, Helen Canipe of Casar and
Joyce Jones of Bostic.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. Military rites will be performed by
the Lefory Southards Upper Cleveland American Legion #527 at 7:30 PM.
