Jimmy Lee Baynard, age 77, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at his home. He was born October 19, 1940 to the late Grover B. Baynard and Ruby Poteat Baynard. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sargent in Vietnam, and worked as a sales representative for Webb Chemical. Jimmy was a former member of the Exchange Club of Shelby and a member of Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, James Baynard and two sisters; Patricia Baynard and Linda Parker.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Donnis Greene Baynard, son Andrew T. Baynard and wife Jane of Fort Worth, TX and daughter Kimberly A. Aderholt and husband Larry of Shelby. Three brothers; Charles Baynard, Billy Baynard, and Sammy Baynard, three sisters; Doris Fish, Beverly Layton and Margaret Sena as well as four grandchildren; Drew, Tia, Morgan, Ava and Renee.

Funeral service will be held (time) (date) at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Storie officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00pm until 2:00-m.
