Cherryville - Mr. Jimmy Lee Kester, 68, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018
at his residence.

Jim was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on March 27, 1950 a son of the
late Lawrence H. Kester and Alice E. Carpenter Kester. He was a member of
Anthony Grove Baptist Church in Crouse and the Barnabas Sunday School Class.
Jim also enjoyed sports and yard work.

In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by a brother Don
Kester.

Survivors include a sister, Doris Freeman (Bob) of Cherryville; four
brothers, Charles Kester of Crouse; Larry Kester (Daisy); Bob Kester
(Sylvia); Kenneth Kester (Kathy) all of Cherryville. Also surviving are
numerous nieces an nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:45 to 1:45 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at
Anthony Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Anthony Grove Baptist Church
with Dr. Dennis Bean and Rev. Ken Faulkenbury officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
