GASTONIA - Jimmy Wayne Lewis, 69, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 7, 1948 to the late William and Bessie Wright Lewis in Gastonia. He is also predeceased by his beloved dog, Jake.

Jimmy Wayne was loved by his wife of 30 years, Sheila Lewis of the home; son, John Boone; daughters, Kim Boone and Jeanie Ford; granddaughter, Amber Boone; grandsons, Joseph Boone and Johnathon Boone; great-grandsons, Kendal Boone and Quorbin Dunlap; great-granddaughter, Aerial Dunlap; brothers, Eddie Lewis and Gene Lewis; best friend, Danny Stroupe.

He was a member of Oakland Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed watching wrestling and fishing. Jimmy Wayne will be greatly missed and memories shared of him will be cherished always.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
