Jo-ann McDaniel Kee, age 51, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born August 3, 1965 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the Mildred Wallace who resides in Dobbinsville and the late Paul McDaniel. Jo-ann was a member of Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Bostic and loved cooking for her family. Her specialty was desserts. Jo-ann also enjoyed sewing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Dusty Allen.
Besides her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Roger Kee; step-father, Charles Wallace of Dobbinsville; two brothers, Chris McDaniel and wife, Dawn and Jeff McDaniel and wife, Connie all of Ellenboro; half sister, Pamela Piercy and husband, Randy of Bostic. She is also survived by three nieces, Ashley McDaniel, Kala Cole, Brooke Gosnell; one nephew, Ryan McDaniel and two great nieces, Makenzie McDaniel and Kenzie Whitaker.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Colby Davis and Reverend Timmy Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
