Jo Canipe Lankford of Shelby passed away on June 4, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rosella Gantt Self and William Self Jr. and four brothers; Don, Gary, Gaylon "Fat" and Jimmy Canipe.

Jo is survived by her son Monty Lankford and seven grandchildren; Monty Jr., Caleb, Summer, Jacob, Tiffany, Jeremy, and Jordan and five great-grandchildren; CJ, Jaymie, Emma, Ethan and Aria all of Shelby, one brother, Robert Wendell "Buddy" Canipe of Shelby, one sister-in-law Mary Ann Canipe of Grover as well as her long time companion, Dale White, a special niece Leesa Lusk and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Cleveland Memorial Park with Rev. Timmy Whitaker officiating.

Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
