Joan Margaret Lewis Roper, 73, of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory.

Born in Caldwell County on November 24, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Hobert Lewis and Marie Campbell Lewis. She was retired from Shadowline and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Rondall Albert Roper; two sons, Ronnie Roper and wife Cindy of Lawndale and Ryan Roper and wife Wendy of Grover; one sister, Judy Justice of Lenoir and two granddaughters, Taylor and Madison Roper.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Kilby officiating.

The entombment will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
