Joe Patrick Locklear, 64, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital. Born in Robeson County on November 14, 1961, he was the son of the late Zebbie Locklear, Jr and Louise Maynor Perry. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife Gail Suzanne Locklear and 7 brothers and sisters.

Joe is survived by his son, Jason D. Locklear of Shelby, NC (Amber); his daughter, Tasha Locklear; and his three stepchildren, Scott Burton, Todd Burton, and Donna Burton. He is also survived by his sisters, Rhonda Maynor and Vivian Lambert (Lacy); his brothers, Kelvin Locklear and Danny Locklear; and a special sister-in-law, Sheila Locklear.
