Joe R. White

Mr. Joe R. White, 90 of Casar passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Hospice
at Wendover.

Born July 14, 1924 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Marvin
White and Ethel Luckadoo White. He was retired as General Manager for
Cherryville Products Corporation and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church
and the oldest member and past master of Casar Masonic Lodge #579. He was
also a founding member of the Cleveland County Rose Society. Mr. White
served in the Navy on the LST 1083 during WWII.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Queen
White; four brothers, Ralph, Dock, Worth and Hazel White and two sisters,
Mozelle Halton and Guynell Cook.

Survivors include his two daughters, Beth Pruett and husband Ron of Shelby
and Joyce Couey and husband, Paul of Shelby; four grandchildren Greg Pruett
and wife, Cindy, Joel Couey, Brian Couey and wife, Yolanda and Laura Couey;
great-grandchildren, Erik Couey, Anna Pruett, Jackson Pruett and Jacob Couey
; two brothers, Buren White of Morganton, and Harold White of Jacksonville,
FL; sister, Carrie Lee Powell of Morganton; brother-in-law, Bonnell Queen;
and sister-in-law, Hetty Harrington.

The visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston. A guest register

The funeral service will be held on Friday 3:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel, Fallston with the Rev. Tim Ware and
Chaplain Justin Williams officiating.

The burial will follow the service in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston,
with Masonic graveside rites.
