Joey Ledford, 61 of Shelby, passed away Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Caromont Medical Center in Gastonia.

He is survived by his sweet wife of 25 years, Donna Lancaster Ledford of the home; one daughter, Brandi Goode (Andy) of Shelby; two grandchildren, Jesse Scruggs and Jake Goode; two sisters, Aleeta Adkins (Chris), Sharon Mellon (Darrell), One brother, C.G. Ledford and fiancé Nina Snelgrove all of Shelby.

Born in Shelby on June 29, 1960, he was the son of Martha Coleen Beason Ledford of Shelby and the late Cecil Glenn Ledford, Sr.

A Funeral service will be held 2pm Monday January 10, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Shane Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45pm before the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Cleveland Memorial Park immediately after the service on Monday.
