John Boyce Cargill of Forest City NC passed away January 6, 2018 at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1934 in Henrietta NC, the son of John Edwin and Mabel Bridges Cargill. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Perrie Dene Davis Cargill, and a sister Eleanor Cargill Strickland.

John, a graduate of Tri High School and NC State College, was an Industrial Engineer and US Army veteran.

John is survived by his sons John Edwin Cargill II and wife Cheryl, James Davis Cargill, Joseph Cameron Cargill, and Samuel Boyce Cargill; grandchildren John Kevill Cargill, Ian Gregory Cargill, Morgan Elizabeth Cargill and Evan Samuel Cargill; sisters Anne Cargill and Paula Cargill.

A graveside service officiated by Reverend Danny Camp will be held at the Cliffside Cemetery, Cliffside NC Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
