John Bruno Hamrick

John Bruno Hamrick, of Boiling Springs, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2026.

Born on August 17, 1956, John was a hardworking and devoted man who spent his life providing for his family through honest labor. He was a devoted father, a diligent worker, and a man whose life was rooted in faith, integrity, and love. Above all else, he cherished his family--especially his daughter, who was the pride and joy of his life. A true listener and encourager, John was always ready with advice, prayer, and a steady presence during life's most challenging moments.

He was a member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge #202, Oasis Shrine Club Charlotte, a faithful servant of Mt. Sinai Church, and a dedicated Sunday School teacher who loved sharing his faith. A true man of many trades, he could fix, build, or figure out just about anything, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He worked as a dairy farmer earlier in life and later dedicated 25 years of service as a diesel fuel technician for Cleveland County Schools.

John lived his faith daily and modeled what it meant to be steadfast, loving, and selfless. Those who knew him will remember his strength, wisdom, and the deep care he showed others. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled and the love he gave so freely.

John was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Hamrick and Carolyn Hamrick, and his sister, Judy Heffner.

John is survived by his loving daughter, Hannah Ann Hamrick, and son-in-law, Kaleb Zachary Norris; his brothers, Jesse Hamrick (Sonda), Ernest Hamrick, and Carroll Hamrick, all of Boiling Springs; and his sister, Hattie H. Flynn (Ronald). He is also survived by his former spouse, Amelia Hamrick Loomis (Bryan); his sister-in-law, Lynn Maloney (John); and his dear friend, Craig Morehead. He leaves behind many others whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

While our hearts mourn his loss, we find comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into heaven. We look forward to the day we are reunited with him again.
