John D Clark of Shelby was born November 21, 1956, in Kings Mountain. He was born to the late Rufus Sr and Estelle Clark.

John is preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Diane and brother Rufus Clark Jr. John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyliss Clark and children Jason Clark of Stanley, Seth Clark, and Kelli Greene (Jordan) of Shelby. Three grandchildren, Abigail and Abram Clark and Halona Craig-Clark.

John was an avid photographer and film enthusiast who spent his professional career as a systems engineer. He loved to explore electronics and would often develop innovative technologies as a child. Of all the things John loved, being a dad and paw-paw was his most cherished.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm December 2nd, 2024, at Patterson Springs Baptist Church officiated by Reverends John Miller and Seth Clark. Receiving of friends will be held directly after the service in the fellowship hall.
