John David Stamey, 93, of Lawndale, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Born in Lincoln County, on August 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Gerard Henry Stamey and Susan Prue Beam Stamey. Mr. Stamey was a retired grain farmer and truck driver. He also served in US Army.

In addition to his parents she is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Stamey.

He is survived by his special friend Pauline Swink of Lawndale; niece, Carla Bradshaw of Lawndale; and great nieces, Maggie Robinson and husband Josh of Cherryville and Abbie Hager and husband Noah of Lawndale; great niece Harper Robinson and best friends, JR Harwood of Cherryville and Ron Parker and family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston, with the Revs. Norris Willis and Cathy Turman officiating.
