John Fealty Clemmer

John Fealty Clemmer, 82, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 25, 2019 at his home in Bessemer City, NC.

He was born in Gaston County, NC, to the late Oscar and Mertie Ayers Clemmer and was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jane Angel Clemmer. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charlton Manor Clemmer, and his sister, Janet Ayers Clemmer Robinson.

John was a member of First Unither Methodist Church (UMC) in Bessemer City. He and Jane were youth leaders at Trinity UMC and Central UMC.

John served his country honorably in the US Army for 3 years

He managed the KOA Campground in Kings Mountain from 1972 until 1985. He retired from the City of Kings Mountain as the Director of Natural Gas, after 35 years of service. He loved being outside cutting grass, reading and playing golf with his sons in law. John was well known for his whistling. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed dearly by his loving family and the community.

Marti Ringenbach (Todd), Fairfax Station, VA

Grandchildren: Maggie Wray Scruggs (Jonathan), JD Wray (Amanda Bouldin), Mallory Ringenbach (Jonathan Hopper) and Konnor Ringenbach

Great Grandchildren: Eva and Fisher Scruggs

Companion: Donna Butler

VISITATION: Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM prior to the service at the church

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 4:00 PM at First UMC, Bessemer City, NC with Reverend Tripp Hord officiating

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First UMC at PO Box 95, Bessemer City, NC 28016
