John Jenkins Davis, 69 of Deer Creek Road, Casar, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on May 3, 1953, he was the son of the late Marshall Bivins Davis and Bertha Chapman Davis. He was employed by Deviney Lumber and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Davis, Jr. and a sister, Janet Christine Davis Carswell.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Hudson Davis; three sons, Tommy Hudson, Chris Davis and Jacob Davis all of Casar; a sister, Chelsea Davis of Spindale and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. At other times the family is at the home of Ray and Edna Hudson, 236 Deer Creek Road, Casar.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Bridges and Rev. Homer Tessneer officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
