John Nelson Gabriel Carroll, 42, of Bessemer City, passed away September 23, 2022, at his home.

He was born May 18, 1980, in Cleveland County, son of George Nelson Carroll Jr. and the late Carolyn Dixon Carroll.

John loved spending time with his children.

He enjoyed racing, especially dirt bike racing and he also enjoyed going fishing when he was able to.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Monday, October 3, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

In addition to his father George, John is survived by his son, Keylan Carroll; daughter, Aydriannah Carroll; stepdaughter, Gabrielle Davis; bonus children, Victoria Ruff and Maxton Willis; brother, Mark Carroll and Erica Sasse; sister, Angela "Angie" Parsley and husband John; and several nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his mother Carolyn, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Kailey Carroll; brother, George Carroll III.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral
