John Patrick Mace
Served our country in the U.S. Navy

SHELBY - John Patrick Mace, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. He was born April 15, 1942 in Chester, SC to John Henry Mace and Elizabeth Rucker Mace.

John leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Rebecca Mosteller Mace of the home; son, John Patrick Mace, Jr. of Calera, AL; daughter, Elizabeth Mace of Mint Hill, NC; granddaughter, Miranda M. Seale of Shelby County, AL; grandsons, John Patrick III of Calera, AL, Joseph Page, Jr. and Mitchell Page of Charlotte, NC; great-grandsons, Logan Toth of Shelby County, AL and Jeramie Page of Mint Hill, NC; one brother, Tim Mace and wife Katharine of Charlotte, NC.

John attended Chester High School and served in the United States Navy as a male Nurse. He was a retired Captain of the Charlotte Fire Department, retiring in 1994 with 29 years of service. He was a former member of Unity Baptist Church of Belmont, NC and current member of Dover Baptist Church of Shelby, NC. He also was a member of the Adult Choir.

John has left an incredible legacy of faith, service and genuine love for others. He impacted lives in a beautiful way. He will be missed tremendously but knowing he is with Jesus with no more pain and we will see him again giving us strength and hope

Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
