John Scott Wood, age 43 of Cowpens, SC, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020.

He is survived by his son, Drew Scott Wood of Chapel Hill, NC, a sister, Niki Yvonne Wood of Shelby, NC, a special niece, Ella Grace Wood, and numerous aunts and uncles..

Born November 22, 1976 in Cleveland County, Scott was the son of Karen Drewery and Larry Wood. Scott loved his animals, fishing, UFC, wrestling, Nascar (Dale Earnhardt Jr.), and spending time with his family and friends. Scott was an outgoing kind of person that never met a stranger. He always brought a smile to your face and will be truly missed by those that knew him. Scott was very strong in his faith.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
