KINGS MOUNTAIN - John W. "Bill" Howell, age 67, passed away on August 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving service. Born in Gaston County February 17, 1952. At the age of 3 years old, his parents moved to Kings Mountain where he was raised. He was the son of the late John H. Howell and H. Beatrice Thompson Howell. He is also predeceased by a sister, Linda Weaver (Grady).

Left behind to cherish his memories are he wife of 43 years, Patricia Hoyle Howell and daughter Sabrina J.W. Howell of the home; sisters, Susan Stewart (Eddie), Judy Bryant (Melvin), Teresa Toney (partner, Mike Mayes); brothers, Robert "robbie" Howell (June), Franklin "Frank" Howell (Lillian); numerous nieces and nephews; aunt, Peggy Buff of Alexis.

He served his country proudly in the United States Navy on the USS TIRU (DBF) from 1971-1975. He will be greatly missed by all. He donated his body to Science praying that in death he could still help others.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1017 Bethlehem Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights, Shelby, NC 28150.

Arrangements are entrusted to his wife, daughter and Joyce White.
