John Wesley Botts, of Casar, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Born in Cleveland County on August 31, 1975, he was a son of Betty Owens Botts of Casar and the late Wesley Clifford Botts, Jr.

He was the co-owner and operator of Briar Creek Masonry and a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Casar.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his three grandparents, WC Botts, Summy Owens and Laura Owens; father-in-law, Gene Morrison; and a nephew, Ethan Ramsey.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of twenty years, Christie Morrison Botts; two sons, Weston Botts and Samuel Botts both of Casar; brother, Matthew Botts and wife Ashley of Lawndale; grandmother, Lib Botts of Casar; mother-in-law, Teresa Morrison of Lawndale; two sisters-in-law, Missy Parker and husband Joey and Michelle Hewitt and husband Jason all of Lawndale; four nieces, Madison Botts, Maggie Parker, Kendal O'Neal and Kadence O'Neal; a great niece, Hattie Parker; special friends, Rodney and Emily Gantt and boys, Andy and Joe; and companions Dash and Dolly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Dustin Hamrick officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
