Johnnie Mae Hamrick, 92, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Hospice Wendover in Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on December 10, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Hughlon Dixon Smith and Kitty Ross Harrill Smith.

Johnnie is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, David Alonzo Hamrick, their son Mark Hamrick and wife Jonna, two granddaughters Meredith Hamrick and Morgan Jaynes husband Jared. Also left to cherish her memory are two great grandchildren Banks Jaynes, Monroe Jaynes, as well as her brother Hugh Smith.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM in the sanctuary of Poplar Springs Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Aaron Hinton officiating.
