Johnny Carol Chapman, 77, of Zebbie Drive, Casar, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Cleveland County, NC on December 19, 1943, he was the son of the late John Zebbie Chapman and Viola Earl Chapman. Johnny was retired from ABF and was a member of Teamsters Local #61.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ray Chapman, Harold Chapman, Ralph Chapman and Jimmy Chapman.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara Carico Chapman; three sons, Robert Chapman and wife, Renee of Sherrills Ford, Cecil Smith and wife, Amy of Lawndale and Rodney Smith of Casar; a daughter, Tracy Barrett and husband, David of Casar; one brother, Reid Chapman and wife, Linda of Casar; three sisters, Maggie Burns of Casar, Helen Canipe of Casar and Joyce Jones of Bostic; eight grandchildren, Josh Barrett and Morgan Neill, Daniel Smith, Dustin Smith and wife, Amber, Kayla Carpenter and husband, Spencer, Alex Chapman and fiance, Jeffrey Jefferson, Andy Chapman, Destiny Smith and Savannah Smith and four great grandchildren, Payton Pennington, Ayden Barrett, Trey Neill and Carson Neill.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
