Johnny Perry Condrey, Sr., age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Born in Rutherford County on December 19, 1937, he was the son of the late Edgar Condrey and Bonnie Simmons Condrey. In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his brothers Donald Joe, Robert, Howard, Billie and Charles Condrey, as well as his sisters, Hazel McCluney and Joyce Luckadoo.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Gerulatt Condrey and their three children, Lisa Condrey Sheffield husband Mark, Johnny Perry Condrey, Jr. wife Natalie and Renee Condrey. Also left to cherish his memory, Johnny's sister Diane Cloninger and brother, Roger Condrey wife Carol, sister-in-law, Joan Moore, 11 grandchildren; Seth Condrey, Candace Condrey Lanford, Jonathan Condrey, Zachary Sheffield, Taylor Condrey, Hunter Sheffield, Nathaniel Condrey, Hannah Condrey Cooper, Callie Sheffield, Isaac Condrey, Austin Balltzglier and 25 great grandchildren.

Johnny was a longtime and faithful member, deacon and head usher at Bethel Baptist Church. He was a past president and member of the Shelby Civitan Club and a business leader in Shelby; having founded Condrey Heating and Air, a thriving business that served Cleveland County and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. Johnny had a passion for traveling and enjoyed exploring new places with his wife, Joyce. They traveled to all 50 States and visited six continents.

A memorial service will be held 6:30PM Friday, July 22, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 5:00PM - 6:30PM prior to the service. Inurnment service will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.

Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Building Fund at Bethel Baptist Church 606 S. Dekalb St. Shelby, NC 28150.
