Join Habitat Cleveland County and Lowe's Home Improvement for Women Build Week

National Women Build Week is May 5th - May 13th 2018 this is a weeklong event that invites women to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing.
Hosting the event during this week reinforces the message that every woman can make a difference through learning and using construction skills. More than 98,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered at the nine previous National Women Build Week events.
In addition to the financial and volunteer support, local Habitat organizations and Lowe's offer how-to clinics to help prepare volunteers for the build site. Women Build opportunities are available across the U.S., and any woman who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share.
Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message. You can also come alone, and make new friends. The atmosphere is collaborative and friendly.

Created by Habitat's Women Build program in partnership with Lowe's . The program invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. The week is meant to spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by women.
National Women Build Week is held the week leading up to Mother's Day with Lowe's generously donating nearly $2 million dollars and volunteer support.
Since 1991, Women Build volunteers from all walks of life have come together to build stronger, safer communities.
Though our neighborhoods are comprised largely of women and children, they are also the population's most likely to be affected by poor living conditions. Our Women Build events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.
