Jose Sandoval Aguilar, age 82, of Lincolnton, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Atrium Health Lincoln. He was born March 19, 1944, in Mexico, to the late Manuel Sandoval Torres and the late Carmen Aguilar Ramirez.

Jose was a member of St. Dorothy's Catholic Church and attended church every Sunday. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jose enjoyed watching soccer, spending time outside and with his granddaughter, and working in the yard.

In addition to his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his siblings, Javier Sandoval, Guadalupe Sandoval, and Francisco Sandoval.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Indelisa Bracamontes Rebolledo; sons, Jhair Sandoval, and Ivan Sandoval; daughter, Priscila Sandoval; grandchildren, Katelyn Sandoval, Kevin Sandoval Gaytan, and Jonathan Sandoval Gaytan; siblings, Manuel Sandoval, Jesus Sandoval, Sergio Sandoval, Rosa Sandoval, Antonio Sandoval, and Silverio Sandoval; extended family, Carlota Gaytan, and Alejandra Gaytan; and numerous other loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026, at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Carlson officiating.

Burial will be private.
