Joy Lynn Ellis, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Atrium Cabarrus.

Born on August 29, 1960, Joy is a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late Malcom Wilson & Jewell Wilson.

Joy taught school for 30 years at Grover Elementary School, where she made many friends she cared for dearly, as well as, all of her students. She also had three K9 Champions, Lincoln, Lilly, and Tucker.

Joy is survived by her husband, Mike Ellis of 40 years, son, Jordan Ellis (Anne-Marie) of Charlotte, daughter, Lyndsey Ellis of Shelby. Also left to cherish her memory are her precious grandchildren, Madison Ellis, Braylyn, Brooklyn, Breanna Hoyle and Finn Ellis.

There will be a private graveside at Mount Sinai Baptist Church officiated by Tim Trexler.
