Juanita Dover Whitworth

Juanita Dover Whitworth, 84, was born in Kings Mountain, NC. She lived all of her life except for one year in Cleveland Co. She married the love of her life, Floyd Whitworth and they were married for 67 years. She was an avid reader all her life. Her favorite things were spending time with her grandchildren, baking pound cakes, cooking for the family and going to Gatlinburg, Tn. Nita worked at several jobs but her favorite job was Belk Department Store. She retired after 25 years at the age of 70.

Nita is preceded in death by her beloved daddy Benjamin A. Dover and mother Lou V. Holcombe Dover, brothers William J. Smith, Henry E. Smith (Gene), who was like a second daddy, John E. Dover (Johnny), Donald A. Dover (Duck), sister Nancy L. Dover Price, her beloved daughter Wanda Evelyn Whitworth, special grandson Jayson F. Whitworth, her precious grandson R. Sean Whitworth and sister-in-law Hazel Whitworth. She is survived by her beloved husband F. Floyd Whitworth , son Randy F. Whitworth and wife Donna, darling granddaughter Haley N. England and husband Jon and step grandchildren Dawn Burgess and Kevin Mertz, great granddaughters Madeline, Delaney, Elizabeth and Caroline England, step great grandsons Collin and Graham Tessneer, sisters Linda Bowen (Roger) and Nell Smith, brothers Robert Dover (Becky), Bant Dover (Sue), Kenneth Dover (Robin) and special sisters-in-law Louise Smith, Nancy Dover and Edith Willingham as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 19, 2022 with Pastors Priscilla Walker and Julie Roberts, Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Grover Cemetery.
