Judith Kurtice Leasure Mori

Judith Kurtice Leasure Mori, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Carillon Assisted Living in Mooresville, after battling dementia for several years. Born on May 9, 1942, Judi was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Lois Tinstman Leasure. She was a certified registered nurse anesthetist for 48 years and worked in Western Pennsylvania, Elizabeth City, NC and Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, NC where she retired in 2012.

Judi is survived by her husband Robert; a son Tim Mori and his wife Maren Olsen of Raleigh; one daughter, Tara Dye and her husband Paul of Mooresville; a sister, Joyce Ann Rager of Irwin, PA and five grandchildren: Axel Mori, Jonas Mori, Drew Dye, Gavin Dye and Sarah Dye. She was preceded in death by her first grandchild, Lyra Judith Mori.

Besides nursing, Judi's passions were singing, dancing, traveling and her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She loved music and spent many of her young and later years in county choruses and church choirs. She often sang solos and duets with Bob in church and enjoyed playing the piano.

Judi loved the beach, particularly the Outer Banks of NC, and both domestic and overseas travel. She graciously volunteered her time to medical mission trips where she prepared hand-made blankets and provided anesthesia to needy patients in the Dominican Republic.

Her faith in and love for Jesus was contagious and she shared this love in the way she lived her life and blessed others.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Wade Childers and Rev. Hal Schwantes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00am-11:00am. Burial will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg, PA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Salvation Army, 4015 Stuart Andrew Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28217; www.salvationarmy.org.
