Judy Ann Downs Martinez, 63 of Cedar Ridge Lane, Vale, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at her residence..

Born in Cleveland County, NC on June 21, 1960, she was the daughter of Dorothy Whisnant Chapman and the late Carroll Maynard Downs. Judy was retired from Jenkins Livermush.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Butch Downs.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 26 years, Esteban Martinez Ledezma; four sons, Mickey Cook of Polkville, Brandon Bumgardner of Lawndale, Jason Bumgardner of Casar and Aaron Bumgardner and wife, Jessica of Casar; brother, James Downs of Lawndale; two sisters, Peggy Downs of Lawndale and Donna Norman of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Kale officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
