Judy Vegoren Vess, age 69, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her residence.

Judy was born Tuesday, February 12, 1952 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Fred and Fern Vegoren. Judy loved flowers, gardening, animals, especially her pets. Judy was a remarkable cook and took great joy in preparing meals for her family. She attended Glenwood Baptist Church. Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Trantham.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ardie Vess; son, Shane Morrow (Maria) of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Crystal Smith (Tommy), of Forest City; brother, Larry Vegoren of Forest City; sisters, Karen Fain (Keith) of Rutherfordton, Claudia Weavers (Bernie) of Montana; grandchildren, Kaley Spurlin (Ryan), Ailey Smith, Ethan Morrow, Isabella Morrow; great grandchild, Colt Spurlin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Harrelson Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations are requested to Glenwood Baptist Church, 461 Bostic Sunshine Hwy, Bostic, NC 28018.
