Judy Weathers, age 63, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born June 28, 1953 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late S.B. McIntyre and Geneva Adair McIntyre. Judy worked for Abercrombie and Snyder Mills for over twenty five years. She was a lifetime member of High Shoal Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was also the church custodian. Judy invested her life in her grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, working in the flower garden and singing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 46 years, Tony Weathers; daughter, Melissa Weathers Dover of Ellenboro; two sons, Jason Weathers and wife, Katrina of Forest City and Andrew Weathers and wife, Amanda of Union Mills; her twin sister, Julie Norman and husband, David of Earl, NC; three brothers, Bobby McIntyre of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jerry McIntyre and wife, Debbie and Joey McIntyre and wife, Dena all of Mooresboro. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Maeghan Weathers, Blake Weathers, Jeffery Elliott, Makayla Weathers, Candace Jones, Hunter Carl, Cayden Weathers, Mayson Weathers, Lucas Pittman and three great-grandchildren, Brayden Burnett, Jenna Burnett and Payton Mostiler.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at High Shoal Baptist Church with Reverend John Godfrey and Reverend Eugene Passmore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
