Julia Etta Stroup Allran, age 85 of Spring St. passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1932 in Gaston County to the late John Clifton and Alice Burch Stroup. Julia was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling and pier and surf fishing at the coast. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Allran; and sister, Ruby Duffy.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Gary Lon Allran; children, Alice Smith, Clara Bost, and Chip Allran; grandchildren, Clifton, Meg, and Betsy; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
