Julia "Julie" Margaret Stockton, age 63, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Henderson Care Center in Forest City, NC. Born in Cleveland County on December 22, 1958, she was the daughter of Lida Catherine Cochran and the late Charles Joseph Stockton, Jr. In addition to her father, Julia is preceded in death by her infant sister, Sarah Catherine Stockton, step mother Dianne Allen Stockton and step brother, Tim Taylor. Julie graduated from UNC Charlotte and received her Masters Degree from Gardner Webb University. Julie was a passionate supporter of the Girl Scouts of America and traveled to different concerts of her favorite music groups, especially Dirty Grass Soul.

In addition to her mother, Julie is survived by her two sisters, Elena Carver (Doug) and Priscilla Stockton, two brothers Charles Thomas "Tommy" Stockton (Angie) and Samuel "Sam" Joseph Stockton (Stacey). Also left to cherish her memory, step sister, Kellie Fender (Johnny), step brother, Eric Taylor (Sherry) and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Julie's caregiver, Carol Ledbetter, the staff at Henderson Care Center and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cleveland County DSS Sponsorship Fund https://forms.office.com/g/JFPW6E7bLX or a local Girl Scout Troop of the donor's choice.

A graveside service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Cleveland Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Stroup officiating.The family will receive friends from 9:30AM - 10:30AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
