Julie Millis Yelton, age 58, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born Tuesday, July 29, 1958 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Earl Bradley Millis and Betty Dills Millis. She worked in various positions for Rutherford Hospital for over ten years and was the owner and operator of the Rosey Lane Boarding Kennels in Rutherfordton. Julie loved her fur kids and taking care of her family. She was a "people person" and enjoyed visiting with others. Julie was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Douglas Yelton and one brother, Bradley Haynes Millis.
Survivors include one son, Joshua Yelton and wife, Stephanie Bailey of Rutherfordton; daughter, Robyn Conner also of Rutherfordton; step-daughter, Cathy Levesque of Forest City; one sister, Geraldine McAbee and husband, Dannie of Forest City; two brothers, Brian Millis of Forest City and Timothy Millis of Cliffside; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Patricia Harrill of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Memphis Conner, Mason Conner, Austin Shahan, Britney Levesque, Whitney Levesque, Courtney Levesque and a host of fur kids.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Michael Harrill and Reverend John Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
