Junious Esper “J.E.” Laughlin Jr.
SHELBY – Mr. Junious Esper “J.E.” Laughlin Jr., 79, of Hammock Ave., died Wed., Feb. 27, 2013 at Hospice at Wendover.  A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Junious Esper Sr. and Susie Runyans Laughlin.  He served in the Army during the Korean War Conflict and worked most of his life as a carpenter.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Mace Laughlin; three sisters, Frances Perry, Carolyn Martin, Shirley Hayes; two brothers, Fred and Clarence Laughlin.

SURVIVED:  He is survived by his step son, Paul Stallings and wife Vicki; and step daughter, Pat Lineberger, all of Shelby; two brothers, Lawrence Laughlin and wife Jean, Martin Laughlin and wife Evelyn, all of Gaffney; five step grandchildren; 9 step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews survive.

SERVICES:  2:00PM, Friday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION:  The family will receive friends 6-7:30PM, Thursday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his brother, Lawrence, 320 Shelby Hwy., Gaffney.

BURIAL:   Little White County Church in Gilkey
