Cherryville - Ms. Karen Elizabeth Sluder, 55, of 503 N. Pine Street, passed
away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings
Mountain.

Karen was born in Cleveland County, NC on January 26, 1963 a daughter of
Brenda Sellers Sluder of Cherryville and the late Russell Jack Sluder. She
was a supervisor for Modern Polymers in Cherryville and was a member of
First Church in Charlotte. Karen was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and also
loved animals.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Dean
"Rusty" Sluder and a special nephew Michael "C" Chapman.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her son, Brandon Sluder of
Cherryville; three sisters Elayne Chapman (David) of Kings Mountain; Dana
Daves (Randy) and Crystal Brittain (Darren) all of Cherryville; nieces and
nephews, Holly Camp (Jonathan), Bruce Chapman, Jason Lowe (Tara),
Christopher Harris (Erin) and Danielle Hill (Chris); great nieces and
nephews, Vivian-Layne and London Camp, Jaxon Chapman, Ethan Lowe, Tucker
Gilbert, Abigail, Logan and Amberlyn Harris.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the
home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 12:00 PM at
Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw
officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery.
