Kathleen Jones Hocker, age 89, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 4, 2022 at her home.

Born in Cleveland County on November 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. Jones and Mada Philbeck Jones. In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband John, having been blessed with 65 years of Marriage. Also preceded in death, her sister Linda Jones Greene and brother-in-law Jim Hocker of Moberly, Missouri and two nephews, Patrick Jones and Jerry Hocker. Kathleen retired from Transit Damaged Freight Furniture Company, with 30 years of service working originally in Charlotte and then later in Springdale, NC.

Kathleen is survived by three sisters, Dot Grigg (Dayne), Billie Baugham (Bob), Lisa Champion (Don), one brother, Jim Jones ( Beverly) and many loving nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish her memory are special friends and neighbors, Tom and Faye Hassell and their dog Jessie, who were adopted by love into her family.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County, especially Joanie Mabry, for the love and care provided to Kathleen.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday April 7, 2022 at Lattimore Baptist Church with the Revs. Buddy Morehead and Billy Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00pm in the Church sanctuary prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Church cemetery. Mrs. Hocker will lie in state from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary.
