Kathryn Padgett Spangler

Kathryn Padgett Spangler, 94, died Fri., Nov. 22, 2016, at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland Co., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Maude Bridges Padgett. She was a charter member of Westview Baptist Church. She loved cooking, quilting and making baskets.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Spangler; brothers, Robert, Max and Joe Padgett; and sister, Sara Dean

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, John Spangler Jr., Lawrenceville, Ga., and Phillip Spangler and wife Maureen, Lexington, SC.; daughter Martha Harless and husband Rev. Bruce of Shelby; sister Marthelle Clinard of Charlotte; grandchildren Rush Spangler and wife Julie of Columbia, SC., Amy Maner ofTulsa, Ok., Aaron Harless and wife Kristi, of Bolivar Mo., Christina Campbell and husband Eddie of Milledleville, Ga., Elizabeth Hazelrig and husband Ricky of Lawrenceville, Ga., Sgt. Jonathan Spangler of Sembach, Germany and Michael Spangler of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and 15 great grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am at Westview Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Dr. Rick Bowling

BURIAL: will be held following the service at Cleveland Memorial Park

MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Westview Baptist Church at 500 Melody Ln, Shelby, NC 28152
