Kathy Diann Perry, 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Kathy was born on October 8, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC daughter of the late Jim Lovelace and Jenny Grace Bivens Lovelace. She was a customer service representative for Wal-Mart. Kathy was a member of Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Perry and a son, Brint Thompson.

Survivors include her daughter, Deana Scism and husband David of Cherryville; two grandchildren, Jordan Robinson and Julie Scism; a sister, Carolyn Verley and husband Mike of Cherryville; a niece, Jenny Verley and a sister-in-law Kaye Dobbins of Shelby.

Visitation will be from 4:30PM to 5:45PM on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church and at other times the family will be at the home of Carolyn and Mike Verley, 111 Lovelace Lane, Cherryville, NC 28021.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.
