Kathy Pearson Harris, 71, of Shelby passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

She was born on May 17, 1954, in Cleveland County and was a daughter of the late Hulen and Maudie Moore Pearson. She was a retired truck driver and a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church. Kathy enjoyed painting, camping, listening to music, family dinners and the laughter they brought.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Robert M. Blanton; second husband Howard Edwin Harris; two brothers, Ed Pearson and Coy Pearson (Coleen); a sister, Francis Moore (Bud); brother-in-law, Bill Greene.

Kathy is survived by her son Randy Blanton (Andrea); daughter, Maria Hamrick; sister Eloise Greene; two sisters-in-law, Helen Pearson and Gwen Blanton; two grandchildren, Jessica Rich and Destiny Hamrick; three great grandchildren, Noah Smith, Ellie Rich and Shaun Lawrence; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, stepchildren and step grandchildren.

At Kathy's request all services will be private.
