Keep Shelby Beautiful Presents Appearance Awards
707 Royster Avenue. Dana Scoggin, Donald Cooke and Faye Cooke.
Keep Shelby Beautiful (KSB) presented the June 2013 “Effie Murphy Wallace Residential Appearance Awards” to: 707 Royster Avenue, owned by Donald and Faye Cooke and to 500 Forest Hill Drive, owned by Thomas and Joyce Harris. These properties received the appearance award because:
• They enhance the appearance of their neighborhoods;
• Their improvements to buildings and landscaping improve the appearance of their properties; and
• These properties consistently maintain a high quality landscape that contributes to the City’s image.
“Beauty is a silent but powerful force that makes communities safer, healthier and more livable,” according to Keep America Beautiful. These homeowners are to be congratulated for their voluntary act of good citizenship that contributes to improving the quality of life for the community.
