Kelly Callahan Guffey, age 52, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Kelly was born Thursday, January 8, 1970 in Rutherford County to the late Joe Callahan and Geraldine Roach Callahan. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1988 and received a Cosmetology Diploma from Isothermal Community College. Kelly was a loving homemaker and caretaker for her family. She enjoyed camping trips, crafts and was known as a great cook. She was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church of Ellenboro. Kelly served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Wellborn.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of thirty-three years, Scott Guffey; four children, Bradley, David, Haylee and Jay Guffey all of the home; brother, Joey Callahan (Kathy) of Gilkey; brother-in-law, Mark Flynn of Ellenboro; nephews, Seth Callahan (Ashley) of Boiling Springs, NC, Billy Callahan of Gilkey; nieces, Brandi Weeks of Casar, Brooke Wellborn of Forest City and several great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church of Ellenboro with Reverend Johnny McCarty and Reverend Randy Church officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
