Mr. Kenneth Billy Patterson, 77, of Shelby, NC passed away peacefully at home on Sunday,

December 2, 2012.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and proudly fought in the

Korean War.  He also retired from Hoechst Celanese.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Francis Lail and his sister, Trina Callahan.  He

is survived by a son, Wade Patterson of Shelby; a daughter, Tracy Morgan and husband

Charles of Shelby; a granddaughter, Leia Young , her husband Luke and their son,

Dexter, all of Gastonia; a grandson, Michael Lail, his wife Heather and their son, Aedan

all of Cherryville; a granddaughter, LaShay Laye, her husband Keith and their son, KJ, all of Kings Mountain; a sister, Jean Philbeck of Shelby and special friend, Joyce Harrelson of Shelby.

Visitation:      The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory

                        On Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
