Kenneth J. "Mouse" Chapman

Cherryville - Mr. Kenneth J. "Mouse" Chapman, 77, of W. Academy Street passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

Kenneth was born in Gaston County, NC on April 13, 1940, a son of the late Walter Chapman and Ruth Kennedy Chapman. He was retired as owner and operator of Ken's BBQ in Cherryville. Ken was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville where he formerly served on as a deacon and on the Stewardship Committee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Moss Chapman and a brother, Dwight Chapman.

Survivors include s stepdaughter, Janet Bridges; two stepsons, R.J. "Jack" Moss and Randy Moss all of Cherryville; a brother, Robert Chapman and wife Joyce of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Johnny Bridges of Cherryville; Jackie Shull and husband Buddy of Vale; Julie Moss of Cherryville; Stephanie Dellinger and husband George of Lincolnton and Lance Moss of Cherryville; great grandchildren, Cricket and Cierra Shull; Macy Bridge; Ryan Mull; Georgia and Houston Dellinger; one great-great grandchild, Kynzlee Shull; Nieces, Crystal Nelson and husband Dave of Lincolnton; Pamela Hubbard and Delores Chapman and a great niece, Shelby Eaker.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 12:45 to 1:45PM at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chapel with Rev. Keith Hollar officiating.

Burial will be private.
