Kings Mountain’s City/Boy Scout Day
The annual City/Boy Scout Day in Kings Mountain hosted nine Boy Scouts, including two Eagle Scouts, from the Battleground District. The event allowed the Scouts to “shadow” various governmental administrative jobs on a “one on one” basis and see the activities and responsibilities of each department. Each scout teamed up with city departments and had the opportunity to get a great civic lesson. Mayor, Rick Murphrey said this is a “great opportunity and a life long lesson” for the boys. Front row (l to r): Paul Pillado, John Bridges, Alex Hannon, and Randall Trahan. Back row: Eddie Grabert, Garret Allen, Sean Downey, Mayor Rick Murphrey, Ross Clark, and Hunter Cooke. The event took place on February 10th.
