Kitty Lynn Staples, 75, of Kings Mountain, NC, entered her eternal rest on August 6, 2026 at her home. She was born June 16, 1951 in Rowan County, NC, daughter of the late John Calvin Gosney Sr. and Mary Catherine Fesperman Gosney and was preceded in death by her brother. John Calvin Gosney Jr. Kitty was a faithful member of Safe Harbor Community Church in Kings Mountain. She worked in retail most of her life, spending many years serving the community as a cashier at Family Dollar. Kitty enjoyed taking day trips and spending time at one of her favorite destinations, Chimney Rock, NC. She was an avid reader, spending time studying the Bible daily and reading legal and medical related novels. Kitty was a wonderful provider and mother to her daughter and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren. Her guidance and love will be missed dearly by all those where knew and cared for her.
