Lanny Darrell Drum Jr., 58, of Grover, NC, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Lanny Darrell Drum Sr. and Gloria Jean Martin Drum and was preceded in death by a brother, David Drum. Lanny was a machinist by trade and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing or cutting grass. He was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering with just about any project, small engines, automobiles and house painting. Lanny was a great husband, father, and brother who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 36 years: Sherry Bridges Drum, of the home

Children: Joshua Drum (Kristi), Boiling Springs, NC and Brittany McNair (Monique), Charlotte, NC

Grandchildren: Ryleigh McNair and Gatlin Drum

Siblings: Richard Drum (Lynn), Bessemer City, NC, Brian Drum, Kings Mountain, NC, and Jeff Drum (Christy), Dallas, NC

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel

VISITATION: Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
